BuzzSugar has an interview with Candice Accola.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:
Buzz: Were you shocked when you first found out that Caroline was going to be a vampire?
Candice Accola: It had been hinted. I guess I was shocked at the extreme at which she kicked ass so much within that episode too; it wasn’t a slow build. And the fact that they gave her the opportunity to catch on and to be very dominant in the sense that she killed people. When the people you work with on a day-to-day basis look at the blood on your face and have to turn away . . . it was pretty graphic. I’m glad that they allowed the character who’s so perky and vain to just get dirty.
E! Online had the following from Nina and Candice from the 2011 Winter TCA Press Tour.
SPOILERS
Elena Gilbert, Vampire Diaries: Looks like Elena better start being more like her evil counterpart, Katherine, because the big, bad Klaus is on his way. “Klaus is coming at some point by the end of the season,” Nina promises. And by now, we all know her ideal casting decision [Sasha Baron Cohen], but she voiced it again so we could “get the message to him.”
Caroline Forbes, Vampire Diaries: It’s gonna get hairy for the vamps in Mystic Falls. “We’re going to be introduced to more werewolf action and the meeting of vampires and werewolves and how they are going to play a part in each other’s lives,” Candice Accola reveals. “And [we'll see] how that affects personal relationships with the friends within the town.” We’re not holding our breath for the vampires and werewolves to become BFFs and start a book club, are you?

Here is an excerpt:
Throughout Season 1, Caroline, played by Candice Accola, was the quintessential popular girl in school, full of insecurities despite her cheerful outer shell. And although it appears that becoming a vampire has actually softened her, Accola tells TVGuide.com, the compassion was always there.
“Caroline always had a heart; it just didn’t have the perspective. That’s the one thing I think Caroline gained from transforming, a newfound, grown-up perspective on life,” Accola says.

FanCast has an interview with Candice Accola.

Here is an excerpt:
In the preview of the first post-hiatus episode, Caroline laments that everyone is kissing her. Can you give me some hints about what is happening?
The next episode is her figuring out what she wants. Now there’s options. She had to work her butt off to get Matt’s attention. For the first time she’s really occupied with what she wants in her own mind, where these guys are all coming to her. I think she’s a little overwhelmed. It was really funny to read the script. There’s a lot of kissing in this episode.
The Futon Critic has an interview with Julie Plec, Candice Accola and Michael Trevino.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:
Jim Halterman: Julie, with the changes for Caroline and Tyler, the addition of the evil Katherine and other new characters, can you talk about making those changes and not shaking things up too much?
Julie Plec: Instinctively, we really believed that turning Caroline into a vampire was a good move and it could have been a good move that people didn’t like but as storytellers we just knew that it was a great move for her character. Tyler, we always knew this was his journey. It just took us a season before we could get it started. Michael is wonderful. He’s smart, he’s committed, he’s passionate about this role and the work he has to do to really deliver and it’s really been a pleasure to give him storylines this year where he can show off his skills.
