Torrey DeVitto Interview With Zap2it
Zap2it has an interview with Torrey DeVitto. She talks working with her husband, Paul Wesley, and other shows she will be appearing on this season.

Below is an excerpt:
A recently published article suggested DeVitto would prefer not to work with Wesley, but she explains “that was sort of taken out of context. We had both done 11 episodes of the show and hadn’t worked together on it yet, and I said, ‘Maybe that’s a blessing in disguise. Maybe working together every day and then going home together would be a little too much, so maybe I prefer it this way.’
“Now that we’ve worked together, I actually said to my publicist, ‘I wish I’d never said that!’ I had such a great time working with him, and it was so amazing, I totally take back everything I said. We just have such a mutual respect for each other, and a similar work ethic.”

Wetpaint Entertainment: Do you know if you’re coming back to The Vampire Diaries?
Torrey DeVitto: I am coming back, yes.
How does it work out schedule-wise with doing both Pretty Little Liars and Vampire Diaries? Have they ever overlapped?
One, I think, overlapped a little bit last year before Pretty Little Liars wrapped in, I think, late November, early December. But Pretty Little Liars started up again in April, and Vampire Diaries went on hiatus in April. So starting July 10th, now the shows are at the same time. I haven’t had a conflict yet, but I know I still have X amount with Pretty Little Liars, and I know I’m still doing some Vampire Diaries. It’s just about time that they’re going to start, I think, conflicting a little bit. So we’ll see how that works out.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Last week’s episode established that Dr. Fell is a member of a Founding Family and on the Council. So has she been in town for awhile and we just haven’t met her until now?
TORREY DEVITTO: When I talked to [exec producer Julie Plec], my take on it was that she’s obviously from there, left and went to medical school, and she’s just coming back into town.

Here is an excerpt:
TVLINE | They’re introducing your brothers, Kol and Finn. What’s Klaus’ dynamic with them like?
What’s wonderful about that is that the writers have really worked to make these two guys individual. It’s not just like there are these two badasses, and they’re both the same and you can’t tell them apart. They really have distinct personalities ,just like Elijah and Klaus are very different. … You can’t say Kol is “kind of like Damon” or Kol is “kind of like” that. They’re really not. They’re on their own, and they have distinct motives and relationships. It’s just been really interesting bringing in, again, a new dynamic. I feel like we’re getting closer and closer to a spin-off.

“I’m really excited there’s an episode where there’s a ball. Everyone got to get all dressed up,” she says. “We took ball dancing lessons. It was really fun. I’m excited for people to see that episode for many more reasons besides the fact that we got to get dressed up, but I don’t want to give those reasons away. I’m just going to say because we got all dressed up, which is code for a lot of s–t goes down.”

Collider has an interview with Joseph Morgan.

Here is an excerpt:
Question: When you play a character that’s lived for so long, how do you approach the backstory for that much time?
JOSEPH MORGAN: It does go on forever. There’s a certain amount that’s developed for you, through the flashbacks, and then you fill in some of the gaps. I tend not to make up too many solid events that he’s been through because then that informs what I’m playing, and then that’s redefined by the writers anyway. When I joined the show, I didn’t know that Stefan and Klaus had a history together. My first few scenes that I was playing with him, I had no idea that it was going to go back and that you would find out that we knew each other, for years. Back in the ‘20s, we were friends. So, it’s useful, to a certain extent, to make backstory and think about that, but to create anything that’s too solid is detrimental, when you’re playing things, later on.

What’s it like on The Vampire Diaries set?
I’ve gotten to work with a lot of people, but I mostly work with Matt Davis. I’ve had so much fun working with him because I think he’s a really great actor and he’s so nice. Everybody’s just really nice and respectful and easygoing. Some jobs you walk onto, it’s like instant stress and anxiety the whole time. It’s not been this way with everybody there. They’ve been really, really, really great.

TV Fanatic has an interview with Torrey DeVitto.
Check it all out here.
Here is an excerpt:
“She meets Alaric and is fascinated by his ability to recover from medical incidents so quickly,” DeVitto said. “And that professional fascination turns into a romantic fascination.”
Wait… what happens to Alaric?!? Does DeVitto’s Dr. Fell meet him in the ER?
“Quite possibly,” the actress simply teased.
DeVitto said she has watched The Vampire Diaries off and on – she is married to star Paul Wesley, after all – but she wasn’t familiar with Alaric’s extraordinarily bad (read: deadly) history with women to date. Will Mary survive the relationship?
“For the sake of his character alone, I hope so,” she laughed. “Hopefully I don’t burn up in flames or try to kill him or anything. He deserves a better ending than he’s had.”

Here is an excerpt:
Wetpaint Entertainment: You’ve already filmed four episodes. Is Mary still alive and well in Mystic Falls?
Torrey DeVitto: Yes. I haven’t gotten an official end date yet. That seems to be the guest star and recurring role path, right? It’s like, you know you have a death date when you join the show.
What’s your character like?
She’s a doctor and she meets Alaric and is intrigued about how he has survived an accident and is medically intrigued by him. Through that they develop a connection and a relationship. And so she’s intrigued by him in more than one way.
