   I love how everyone used to hate Jenna for being useless and now there’s an uproar over her death XD You don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone, eh?
   Gonna miss her a lot though

   I’ve always loved Jenna also, and I was disappointed that the writers basically wrote her out of season 2 and then decided to kill the character to clear up any loose ends. I think they could have done a lot more with Jenna’s character. Instead, she was absent most of the season and then they bring her back at the end of the season JUST to kill her. I was sad that they killed off a character who had so much potential, but I wasn’t upset or emotional when they killed her, bc she was so absent from the show that I lost any connection with her.

   Honestly, to me, the deaths of Jenna, John, and Isobel (whom I adored!!) were more for shock value than they were for story advancement. The writers hardly did any character development with them. Basically, John and Isobel were terrible parents who didn’t want any real relationship with Elena, but the writers decided the only way they could amend their ways with Elena was by killing them off. Elena is not a weak or spoiled character, and I feel like the writers are using their deaths to help Elena “grow into an adult”. How much “profound loss” does a character have to go through in order to grow up??

   I get that this a vampire show and people are going to die, but killing off three patriarch characters in the span of six episodes seems rushed, unnecessary, and half-assed. Elena is still the same person she was before Jenna, John, and Isobel’s death. It’s not like Elena was a spoiled rich kid who didn’t appreciate the people around her. Elena became an adult after her parents died in the car accident. And Elena was the parent to everyone around her, even Jenna! So I don’t see how killing off these characters helped advance any character development, other than burdening her with more responsibilities.

   Overall, I think the writing in Season 2 was inconcise, unfocused, and jumping all over the place. They had too many plots going in different directions that they didn’t know what to do with and plots that were dragged out longer than they should have. Wasn’t there supposed to be a great werewolf+vampire battle???

   i’ll miss elijah… although he kinda betrayed everyone he only did it to be with his family then klaus went n killed him… it was a shame – elijah was epic!!! “i think the term your looking for is OMG!” << favourite line… Daniel Gillies always xoxo

   I hope Season 3 has Damon and Elena romance in it. I’m so afraid that Elena will blame Damon for Stefan leaving. But since the writers just LOVE to piss us delena lovers off they probably will. :/ September is just too far away
