Scoop on The Vampire Cure
Claire Holt talks the vampire cure with TV Guide:
When are they going to actually find the cure on The Vampire Diaries? — Whitney
NATALIE: Well, before it can be found it must be looked for. Claire Holt, who plays the Original Rebekah, tells us the location of the cure may be where you’d least expect it. “The search is going to take everyone to a little island off of Nova Scotia,” she says. Even for vampires Canadian healthcare is better!

Julie Plec Talks The Originals Spinoff
Julie Plec talks about The Originals spinoff with EW.
I am super excited about this idea and hope that the CW really goes through with it.
Head on over to EW to see what she has to say.
Below is an excerpt:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: The idea of doing a spinoff has been around for a while. Why was the time right to pull the trigger?
JULIE PLEC: It’s actually something that we’ve been talking about for two years, that we contemplated trying to get off its feet last year, but there was just too much work to do in too little time. So that gave us an opportunity this year to spend a lot more time putting it together — seeing if, obviously, our actors had any interest whatsoever continuing the life of these characters [Laughs] and if there was a story to tell. It all came together in a way that we finally felt would not detract from our most important baby right now, The Vampire Diaries, and would give us a chance to expand the universe with characters that we’ve had another year to get to know.

Vampire Diaries Scoop
Zap2it talks Klaus:
“Vampire Diaries”:
At the end of the Christmas episode, Klaus viciously slaughtered twelve hybrids — but, even more shockingly, he drowned Tyler’s mother, Carol Lockwood, in the town square. If it seems like the war between Tyler and Klaus has reached its climax, though, hold onto your house. Things are going to continue to escalate and get much, much worse between these two before they get better, if they get better. With Klaus potentially putting Mystic Falls in the rear-view mirror next season, it leaves us to wonder if Mystic Falls is big enough for the both of them.

The Originals Spinoff Show From The Vampire Diaries?
I couldn’t be more excited!
According to an article at THR a ‘Vampire Diaries’ spinoff ‘The Originals’ may be in the works at The CW.
Below is some exciting info from THR:
Titled The Originals, the potential new CW series would be an offshoot revolving around the Original family led by Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and set up in a season-four Vampire Diaries episode. Executive producer Julie Plec, who will write the episode, is shepherding the spinoff, with Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo as executive producers.
In the Vampire Diaries episode slated to air April 25, Klaus returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, a town he helped build centuries ago, and is reunited with his diabolical former protege Marcel. The Secret Circle’s Phoebe Tonkin, who joined Vampire Diaries this season in a pivotal recurring role, also will star.
So would you watch a show based on the original vampires?
I for one hope this works out, because I think it would be amazing!!!
