At Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2010 Fun Fearless Males party Paul had this to say to MTV, :

When MTV News surveyed night’s honorees and asked which category they would put themselves in, most said “fun” instead of “fearless.”

“I’m gonna go with fun, because I get terrified pretty easily,” Paul explained. “For example, on the series, they put some vampire makeup on me sometimes, and then I’ll go to lunch and I’ll forget that it’s on. Then I’ll look in the mirror and have a mini heart attack.”

All three of Jerry’s exes pop up in Melinda’s first episode, titled “A Few Good Men,” in which Sheriff Forbes asks Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to participate in a bachelor auction officiated by Mrs. Lockwood. Beyond that, executive producer Julie Plec says that Matt’s mess of a mom will interfere in his relationship with Caroline, while Caroline’s mother will reveal to Damon why Alaric Saltzman really came to town. As for Tyler’s cougar mom, she’ll cope with her husband’s infidelity by trying to sink her claws into Damon.

I can’t wait!!!!

Ausiello: Then prepare to love this season’s final string of episodes, which exec producer Julie Plec tells me will be heavily focused on the pair. “We’ll see Damon start to look at Elena as more than just his brother’s girlfriend or the doppelganger to the love of his life,” she reveals. “He’ll start to love and understand her as a human being, which is ironic because Damon could typically give a s–t about anything involving humanity. It’s some good stuff.”

Yeah, my family business was monuments. I’d been doing that since I was able to tie my own work boots. I’m from a really, really small town in Ohio and it was always set up that I was going to be the guy to take over the business. Then in high school, I told my folks I might want to give acting a shot.

Later on, we got to probe Damon himself, Ian Somerholder, about his thoughts on vampires, love, and his character. Damon, considered the “Evil” brother, feasts on humans as he pleases, but Somerholder believes the brothers are more complicated than merely “good” and “evil.” “I think there is as much room for good in Damon as there is for evil in Stefan. I mean, we all have it inside of us.”

He says of the brothers, “Damon says things that are true because Damon is very truthful. Even if he’s a deviant bastard, he is still telling you the truth. And I think she [Elena] feels she’s been lied to by Stefan. In Stefan’s defense, he has essentially had to lie to her to protect her.”

According to an article at the EW David Anders is joining the cast of The Vampire Diaries.

The Alias and Heroes alum will play Elena and Jeremy’s uncle, Jonathan Gilbert, who comes to Mystic Falls to “cause some trouble,” teases an insider.

Look for Anders’ present-day Jonathan to turn up in April.
