A little Alaric info from TV Guide:

They wouldn’t kill Alaric in the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, would they? Matt Davis is my favorite on that show! — Carrie
MICKEY:
“I had a lovely conversation with Kevin Williamson a week or so ago about the future of Alaric, and I must say, it looks bright,” the artist formerly known as Warner Huntington III told us. So it seems he’ll survive the season finale’s apocalyptic Founder’s Day celebration. In fact, we’re hearing that Davis might be promoted to a series regular in the fall.

A little Diaries Spoilers from the EW:

SPOILERS

Question: Are we ever going to see more of Vampire Diaries‘ werewolf, Tyler? He’s been surprisingly absent since that foreboding full moon. —Marz
Ausiello:
“I think it is more interesting to keep [his inner werewolf] hidden or suppressed,” says exec producer Kevin Williamson, “and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” The werewolf card will eventually be played because “wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson. “My biggest concern is what the weekly special effect is going to look like. That takes careful preparation and a lot of money and some testing. We’re working on it now to figure out what we can do that won’t just look stupid. And they have to still be sexy — because, let’s face it, we cast these beautiful people for a reason.”

Question: I need Vampire Diaries scoop, please! —Vanessa
Ausiello:
Ian Somerhalder predicts that Team Damon will experience a surge in popularity as the season winds down. “I think we are going to find out more about Stefan that might make fans switch teams,” he says. “He isn’t all goodie-two-shoes hero-boy.”

TV Guide has an interview with Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson.

They give all kind of details on what to expect the rest of the season including the finale.

Spoilers beware, you can read it all here.

Here is an excerpt:

SPOILERS

TVGuide.com: What should we expect in the season finale?
Plec:
What we’ve been building to from the beginning — it’s something we took directly from the books — is this event called the Founders’ Day Celebration, which is the anniversary of the founding of the town. We’re looking into big period costumes and Civil War reenactments and maybe some parade action with some big floats. It’s going to be the big event that connects us back to 1864 and what went down back then. It messes things up so when we come back in Season 2, everyone has a reason to tune in again. There are nine “oh my God” moments.

Diaries Spoilers

News

The EW had the following Diaries scoop:

SPOILERS

Question: Does The Vampire Diaries have plans to resurrect Vicki? I’m hearing conflicting things. —George
Ausiello:
The truth is right here: “We are not averse to bringing people back from the dead,” says exec producer Julie Plec, “but we would not do it with the first tragic death out of the gate. In the future, we absolutely will use those mystic tricks, but not with Vicki — as much as we loved Kayla [Ewell]. It would ruin the impact.”

Question: Enough of The Vampire Diaries. Got any scoop on True Blood that can hold me over till June? —Brittany
Ausiello:
More Vampire Diaries scoop it is! Exec producer Kevin Williamson teases that the season is “building to the Founder’s Day Celebration. That will be our last episode of the season. We will bring that historical storyline somewhat to a close and at the same time, we will start the next chapter. We will involve some of the town council and we will also take it to the next level.”

Diaries Spoilers

News

TV Guide had the interesting little scoop below:
I Can’t Wait!!!

SPOILERS

Did Damon really kill Elena’s birth mother on The Vampire Diaries? I can’t help but feel like there’s more to this story. — Taryn
MICKEY
: Well, yeah. When Diaries returns on March 25, we’ll learn once and for all who killed Isobel, and why. But you might be more interested in another shocking murder that takes place this spring. Don’t grieve too much for the victim; he or she will be miraculously brought back to life shortly thereafter. (For the record, we aren’t talking about a vampire “turning” here — he or she will really be alive again.)

The Vampire Diaries
was at PaleyFest this weekend and TV Guide has an article talking about what we can expect in future episodes.

Check it all out here.

Here is an excerpt:
SPOILERS

Many of the cliffhangers fans were left with when the last original episode aired will be addressed on March 25, when the next original episode, titled “A Few Good Men,” airs. Paley guests were treated to an advance screening of the episode, which (trust us) takes Damon’s cruelty to a whole new level. By the end of the hour, you’ll be left wondering how Elena can ever even speak to him again. “Some truths are revealed and the episode ends on a major bang,” teases Paul Wesley (Stefan). He’s not kidding.

With Elena (Nina Dobrev) just having learned she’s adopted, she begins a dangerous search for her birth mother, whom keen viewers know shares a connection to Alaric Saltzman. The revelations, says Nina Dobrev (Elena) will “intensify her love/hate relationship with Damon. His actions to achieve what he wants are truly horrible.”

But the episode offers more light-hearted moments, as Damon takes part in a charity bachelor auction alongside Alaric. “It’s a lot of fun,” teases Ian Somerhalder (Damon). A future episode will find Damon meeting up with Matt’s mom, Kelly (The O.C.’s Melinda Clarke) at a bar. “Much to the chagrin of Matt,” Somerhalder says. “They hit it off and end up hooking up.”

One face was absent from the episode – Katerina Graham, who plays Bonnie Bennett. She’ll be off the canvas for three episodes “grieving the death of Grams”, explains creator Kevin Williamson. “She goes off to stay with family, but comes back with an attitude.”

Adds co-executive producer Julie Plec: “Bonnie’s been nothing but supportive of Elena’s relationship with Stefan up until this point, but
given everything that’s happened — the tomb didn’t quite get closed and Grams died for nothing, it’s going to be difficult for her to be a good friend.”

TV Guide has some spoilers on the next episode.
You can check it all out here.

Here is an excerpt
SPOILERS

All three of Jerry’s exes pop up in Melinda’s first episode, titled “A Few Good Men,” in which Sheriff Forbes asks Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to participate in a bachelor auction officiated by Mrs. Lockwood. Beyond that, executive producer Julie Plec says that Matt’s mess of a mom will interfere in his relationship with Caroline, while Caroline’s mother will reveal to Damon why Alaric Saltzman really came to town. As for Tyler’s cougar mom, she’ll cope with her husband’s infidelity by trying to sink her claws into Damon.

News

TV Guide had the following spoiler for The Vampire Diaries:

SPOILER

Let me ask this Vampire Diaries question directly: Who is Elena’s mother? — Tanya
MICKEY:
Wouldn’t you like to know? So would Elena, which is why she looks up some of Mommie Dearest’s old friends. But rather than welcome Elena and regale her with stories about the time they did body shots off the lifeguard in Rosarita, they turn out to be a wily, suspicious bunch, and they smell the vervain on Elena a mile away.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers

News

Below are some SPOILERS from E!

Mae in Atlanta: Please tell me some of the sexy Vampire Diaries stars are hooking up in real-life!

Not so, says Candice Accola (Caroline). “There’s so much heat going on onscreen—we’re all just a family,” Candice tells us with a laugh. “I wish there was some juice or some crazy things going down, but not really. We disgustingly all just get along, and no one’s dating.” So apparently all the drama is happening on the show? Hmph! (Check the spoiler section below for that.)

Monica: Damon and Stefan for the win! Any scoop on Vampire Diaries?

Sorry, but I only have some good news for you Damon-Elena shippers: Stefan may get a taste of human blood again soon, which may change his personality a bit, and I can’t imagine that goes over well with good girl Elena. Katherine, on the other hand, would love it, right? Also, you’ll never guess whose body is going to be found? Vicki! So this means that (a) she really is dead and not coming back as boss Kevin Williamson told us and (b) Jeremy is so gonna find everything out, right? That has to be where all this is heading, given that he’s realizing that there are vampires in Mystic Falls. The only question is: What will Damon do when he is found out? Shudder.
