A reader meets the cast at Comic Con

Cast and Characters

One of our Readers, Shannon went to Comic Con and got to meet members of the Cast of The Vampire Diaries. SHe sent us this about her experience and some pics!!!! Lucky Girl!!!

Last year me and my friends went to Comic Con and there were so many celebs just walking around and we met so many so this year we knew we had to go but back in November they were already sold out except for Sunday. When the list for the events came and I saw Vampire Diaries was on Saturday I was soo bummed but then I knew I had to go to try and find them, although what are the chances, it’s PACKED!
So all day we were looking for them and we were sort of giving up and went into the Hilton to use the bathroom when we asked the paparatzi outside who they were waiting for and they said the Vampire Diaries cast. We told them that the cast was doing their panel at the Convention Center so to repay us, they got us into the back exit of that room where no one else could go.
The panel was from 4:15 to 5 but by 5:30 the paparatzi got sick of waiting and left. My friends were also getting tired of waiting so they went off and met a bunch of people while I sat and waited another hour. I was literally getting up to leave when the security lady started talking to me about True Blood and I didn’t want to be rude so I talked a little bit and good thing I did cause then Nina came out. She wouldn’t come over to say hi but then the screenwriters, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson did. They were soo awesome, like no joke. They were joking with me saying “sorry I’m not Ian” and stuff and took pictures with me and we hung out till the rest of the cast came out.
They were all in a “big hurry” so none of them would come over to me (Paul Wesley waved and smiled) but Steven R McQueen saw how I was sad and came over and took a picture with me and was super nice. Then the last person to get on (I could barely see cause there were body guards surrounding him) was Ian Somerhalder. He was literally in the bus when I shouted “Ian! I’m going to New Orleans to help out with the oil spill because of you and everything you posted on Twitter!” (which is completely true) so he came back out and was like “Wow that’s incredible. Thank you so much! You’re awesome!” and I knew it was my only chance so I said “Can I please have a picture, I’ve been waiting for a long time” and so he said sure and held everyone up to get out of the bus and come down to me.
He hugged me and then put his arm around me so a picture and was squeezing me really tightly with his cheek to mine and then after he said “You’re such a sweetheart” and KISSED MY FREGGIN CHEEK! I died and came back to life a million times. I’m so thankful for that security guard and those paparatzi! It was the best experience ever!
